Sago Palm (Cycad) Seedling

Seed-grown Cycas revoluta plants in 4″ pots.

This is a slow-growing plant that can tolerate shade and sun, although 4-5 hours of filtered sunlight daily is preferred.  They are also drought tolerant when a bit more mature, and should be grown in well-draining soil.

Photos are of a typical plant for sale, my potted plants (2 in the pot) that are 2 years from seed, and the parent plants, growing in my yard (male on left, female on right).
